The ball shape deviation influence on the bearing performance
The shape deviation of steel ball is one of the important reasons
affecting bearing vibration and noise.
During the processing of the steel ball, the steel ball forms a contact
pair with the surface of the groove, which is squeezed and rubbed, consumes
excess metal on the surface of the billet, and gradually rounds into a ball.
In order to reduce the shape deviation of the steel ball, various
technical measures have been taken in the process. The greater the shape error
of the steel ball, the greater the vibration value of the bearing, so the shape
error of the steel ball must be reduced. When the bearing rotates, due to the
shape error of the steel ball, the center position of the steel ball is forced
to change continuously, causing bearing vibration and noise. The shape
deviation of the steel ball will cause the bearing to produce low-frequency
vibration.
