1. Advantages
l Zero corrosion. It can be used on high corrosion circumstance.
l High resistance on temperature change. temperature change has no
influence on the bearing.
l Not easy for deformation. The elastic scale of ceramic bearing is
higher than steel, so there is almost no deformation because of stress.
l Long life time. Ceramic balls density is lower than steel, the
lighter weight can reduce the friction onto the outer ring.
2. Disadvantages
l Not easy to make and high cost, so it’s expensive.
l Low resistance for impact, since it has high hardness.
l Size has no change when temperature change. Temperature influence can be regarded both as advantage and disadvantage.
